Skipping Songs was created for the South London Gallery’s 2017 Children’s Book Fair as part of a project initiated by Camberwell Press.
Nearly all the songs in the book are inspired by songs from ’Children’s Game’s With Things’ by Iona and Peter Opie, published by Oxford University Press in 1997.
I have updated and adapted sone of the songs so that modern children will understand them and find them easy to remember.
The book is aprox 18cmx22.5cm in size, Risograph printed in red and blue on recycled stock. It comes with a handprinted mini tote bag and a pair of old fashioned skipping ropes. It is available to buy, please contact me for more details.
