‘Michael The Cartographer’ Artist Book.

A book piece about the outsider artist known as Michael The Cartographer. The book was created for the Doverodde Artist Book Symposium in Denmark 2012 where it was also exhibited. The theme of the symposium was, 'udkant' which means 'on the margins'. I came across Michael whilst researching this theme, very little is known about the artist. His maps were drawn completely from the imagination and bare no relation to geography. The book is perfect bound with french fold pages and contains my hand drawn interpretations of his maps and some accompanying text about the artist.
